When we experience adversity, we can either let it tear us down and weaken us or allow it to make us stronger and more resilient. If you made it to this page, you have chosen that latter path, but sometimes that path is unclear, especially for people of color in underserved communities. We're constantly looking for breakthroughs and such, but healing doesn't happen all at once. For Summer 2023, Lytework will offer affordable, convenient, and accessible healing experiences that emphasize self-expression and self-love to underserved BIPOC in the Oakland community.
Isis Fields is an Oakland native that was earnest to answer the call to be a healthcare provider. She has completed 800+ hours of hands-on work with peers and in clinics and earned her Certification in Massage Therapy (CMT) in July 2022. As a practicing CMT, she believes nurturing therapeutic touch can permit our bodies to release stored emotion and promote the innate ability to heal. As a bodyworker, she holds space for clients by offering Therapeutic Relaxing massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Prenatal massage. Isis also offers Lymphatic, and reflexology to promote circulation and detoxification.
As a self-taught painter and Oakland native, Paola offers an immersive experience that encourages you to embrace your creativity and tap into your inner child. Her classes go beyond the strokes of a brush, emphasizing the profound connection between heart, mind, and hand. By fostering this connection, we unlock the flow of creativity, infusing it into your day-to-day life. Join her for an enchanting journey where you'll discover the joy of painting, express your unique artistic voice, and rediscover the magic of creation.
Dr. Reggie, a chiropractor from Bainbridge, Georgia, is a compassionate healer dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey of self-healing at their own pace. With expertise spanning various age groups, he strives to reconnect people with lost parts of themselves, fostering personal growth and empowerment. Combining his passion for athletics and his own experience with depression, Dr. Reggie, as a chiropractor, employs a tailored energetic approach to support individuals, promoting holistic healing and encouraging individuals to take charge of their well-being.
A master level Reiki teacher as of September 2022. CJ’s journey with Reiki started in 2014 at a yoga studio in Portsmouth, NH while he was in the early phases of his healing journey. A journey that started following the Haiti earthquake after his world was rocked when he lost both his mother and grandmother. A trained engineer and product manager by day, Reiki has brought balance and divine purpose to his life. Currently based in Oakland, he is passionate about healing, culture, and opening hearts one conversation at a time.

Members and guests will find yoga, pilates, and dance here, as well as nurturing, healing, and restoration practices.

Anisha Carter grew up in a low-income rural county in Virginia and was raised by her single mother who worked hard to make sure Anisha got the best education and was celebrated for her success. Anisha graduated from Hampton University and is now a student at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Anisha became passionate about helping people who looked like her finding healing to fully experience the beauty of life.
